For more than three decades, Chuck Mowrer has been perfecting the artistry of floral arrangements. He learned the art in the mid-70s by working for free and watching professionals at work. During the late 70s and early 80s, he began his own business part-time, specializing in silk floral designs for weddings.

In 1985, Chuck, his wife and another couple established CS Catering. More than a catering company, the firm “did the whole shebang.” Chuck was responsible for wedding consultation and flowers; his partners handled setup and catered the reception.

For the past 12 years, Chuck has worked as a Wedding Consultant and Floral Designer for Sandy’s Flowers and then for Steve’s Flowers and Gifts. He came to JP Parker this summer. “Almost all of my work has been in wedding consultation. I love working with the bride, helping to plan the most special day of her life. You know, you only get one chance at a wedding, and I want it to be right.”

Chuck has gained a stellar reputation in wedding consultation; in fact, for the past three years, he has personally designed floral arrangements for more than 100 weddings per year. Chuck has been honored for his designs with many awards, including several First Place Honors for Floral Design at the Indiana Flower and Patio Show.

At Parker Flowers, Chuck will continue as a wedding consultant, but will also turn his attention to everyday arrangements, memorial flowers, and special occasion designs. “If I were to brag and say I had a gift, it would be with people. I want to earn their trust and do my very best to design floral arrangements that they will always remember.”
